MAIN OBJECTIVES:
The Grand Bay Co-operative Credit Union’s Kiddies Club was established in June of 2003, with the aim of providing an opportunity to introduce children to cultivate the habit of saving.
The Kiddies Club offers the opportunity to teach children the concepts and philosophy of the Credit Union, and it prepares them to become potential Credit Union members.
The Kiddies Club aims to establish a strong relationship between the Credit Union and children in the Southern District.
REQUIREMENTS
- Application for membership to the Kiddies Club should be made by the parent /guardian.
- The parent/guardian must be a member of the Credit Union.
- Applicant/Child must be between the age of 0 to 17 years.
- A minimum of $5 deposit.
- Total deposits MUST NOT exceed $1000 monthly.
- The parent/guardian’s ID.
- ID or birth certificate of the child.
- Proof of address of the parent/guardian.
BENEFITS OF KIDDIES CLUB ACCOUNT
- Members of the Kiddies Club receive a special interest on savings annually until the age of 18 years.
- Withdrawals cannot be made until the child is 18 years, except in cases of emergencies.
- Upon attaining 18 years the account will be transferred to a regular savings account in the child’s name with the consent of the parent/signatory.
